Shannon Powers created the digital marketing agency Powers Communication a few years ago. In the midst of setting up her own company and acquiring clients, she did not get a chance to truly define her brand and get her digital presence established. As a Brand and Marketing Associate, I helped her do just that.
I began with competitive and market research to highlight the gap in which her company fills in the industry. From there, I helped to create unique value propositions and a clear company identity. I also conducted target market research to determine which social platforms would be the best channels to use and developed a social media marketing strategy that is consistent with the brand identity we created. Finally, through prototype testing, I chose a website template and made a wireframe for the development of the company website.
This experience was invaluable as it gave me experience working cross functionally in a digital marketing agency, analyzing market trends and making recommendations accordingly, and improved my communication skills. I am happy to be continuing my work with Powers Communication throughout my senior year.
